Marriage records [microform], 1833-1870.

Marriage records may include bonds, books, certificates, licenses, marriage registers or ministers' returns. Indexes to marriage records may be available. Marriage registers or minister's returns were filed after the marriage was performed by either the minister or judge who performed the ceremony. It was to be sent to the county clerk where the marriage was performed within twelve months after the marriage occurred.

Edmonson, the seventy-nineth Kentucky county, was formed in 1825 from parts of Grayson, Hart, and Warren Counties. It is named for John Edmonson. Brownsville is the county seat.
